Cookies & Local Storage

In short: SANDIX+ doesn't run ads and doesn't use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. Almost everything that makes the app feel personal: your profiles, your Watch Later list, your Favorites, your ZapMatch picks: is saved directly in your browser's local storage, on your device. The only thing that behaves like a traditional cookie is a short-lived authentication token used to keep you signed in.

1. What We Actually Use

"Cookies" is the familiar word, but on SANDIX+ today the technical reality is a mix of local storage and one authentication token:

MechanismPurposeType
Supabase session token Keeps you signed in to your account between visits Essential
Local storage: profiles Remembers your viewing profiles and which one is active on this device Essential
Local storage: Favorites & Watch Later Remembers what you've saved, so your list is there next time Essential
Local storage: content catalog cache Lets films and series load instantly on repeat visits Performance
Local storage: ZapMatch preferences Remembers your swipes and genre picks to improve future matches Preference
Local storage: language & UI settings Remembers your interface language and display preferences Preference

2. What We Don't Use

SANDIX+ does not display advertising and does not use third-party advertising, tracking, or cross-site profiling cookies. We don't sell or share this data with ad networks, because there aren't any in the product.

3. Why Local Storage Instead of Cookies?

Most of your data: profiles, Favorites, Watch Later, ZapMatch history: is stored locally on your device rather than sent to and held on our servers. That means it stays on the browser you're using, is fully under your control, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings or from Settings.

4. Managing Your Data

Note that clearing local storage will remove your profiles, Favorites, and Watch Later list from that device: this can't be undone from our side, since we don't keep a server-side copy.

5. Creator & Studio Accounts

If you use a Creator account to submit or manage content through the Creator Dashboard, your session works the same way: an authentication token keeps you signed in, and dashboard preferences are kept locally on your device.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this page as SANDIX+ evolves. Changes will be reflected here. Continued use of SANDIX+ after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
