Monetization Information
This page explains, in plain terms, how monetization works on SANDIX+: how a Premium subscription generates revenue, how that revenue is split between Free and Premium content, how it is attributed to individual titles and creators, and where a creator can always check the exact percentage currently applied. It is linked from the Creator Submission form (section 13, "Monetization Information"), where accepting these terms is a mandatory step before a submission can be sent.
1. Free content vs. Premium content
Every title on SANDIX+ is classified as either Free or Premium by an administrator when it is added to the catalogue. This classification is what drives everything below:
- Free content never generates Premium monetization, however many times it is watched, by any type of account. Free content exists to be watched openly - it is not part of the revenue split described in this page.
- Premium content is the only content that can generate revenue, and only when watched by an account with an active SANDIX+ Premium subscription.
2. One billable view per subscriber, per title, per month
A Premium subscriber can watch a Premium title as many times as they like - there is no limit on rewatching. However, for monetization purposes, a single title only ever counts once per subscriber, per calendar month. Watching the same film five times in the same month generates exactly the same "billable view" as watching it once; watching it again the following month generates one new billable view for that new month. This rule exists specifically to prevent inflating a title's revenue through repeated plays, and applies automatically and identically to every subscriber and every title.
3. How a subscription is split
Each Premium subscriber pays one fixed subscription price per month (shown on the Premium page, currently 4.99 in the platform's configured currency - EUR or USD). Only a percentage of that price - the creator pool percentage - is redistributed to creators overall; the rest is retained by SANDIX+ to operate the platform. That redistributed amount is then split, for each subscriber individually, across the Premium titles that subscriber actually watched that month, in proportion to how many distinct Premium titles they watched (since each title counts as at most one billable view per month per subscriber, this is the same as splitting evenly across the titles watched). Every eligible subscriber's contribution to a given title is added together to produce that title's total estimated revenue for the month.
4. A simple example
Suppose the subscription price is 4.99 and the creator pool percentage currently configured by SANDIX+ is 70%. A subscriber watches 3 different Premium titles in a given month - Title A, Title B, and Title C - and nothing else. Each title represents one third of that subscriber's billable Premium views that month, so each one receives one third of 70% of 4.99 (approximately 1.16) from that subscriber. If Title A is also watched, once, by 500 other subscribers who each watched only Title A that month, Title A's total estimated revenue for the month is the sum of every subscriber's individual contribution to it - not a flat rate multiplied by a raw view count. This is why two titles with the same number of views can generate different revenue: what matters is each subscriber's own mix of Premium titles for that month, not the title in isolation.
5. The percentage is configurable, never fixed
The creator pool percentage, the subscription price, and the currency are all set by SANDIX+ administrators and can change over time. None of these values are hardcoded anywhere in the app - every screen that shows them, including this page and the Creator Monetization dashboard, reads the value that is currently in the database. A change made by an administrator takes effect immediately for future calculations; months that have already elapsed keep the rate that was actually in force for them at the time, so past figures are never silently rewritten by a later change. Whatever percentage is shown here or anywhere else on the platform should always be treated as the currently applicable one, not a permanent figure - the authoritative, always up-to-date value for your own content is shown in Creator Access > Monetization.
6. What counts, and what doesn't
- Views by logged-out visitors never generate revenue, since monetization requires an identified, active Premium subscription.
- Views by a Free account on Premium content (for example, before that account upgrades) never generate revenue.
- Views of Free content never generate revenue, regardless of the viewer's account type.
- Views used for the platform's Trending and Top 10 rankings are tracked separately and are not affected by, and do not affect, monetization figures.
7. How estimated revenue is calculated and refreshed
Figures shown in Creator Access > Monetization are estimates, computed automatically from recorded billable views and the monetization settings in force for each relevant period. They update as new billable views are recorded and are refreshed each time that dashboard is opened or reloaded - there is no separate manual "recalculation" step. Estimated figures are informational and do not, by themselves, constitute a payment guarantee.
8. Relationship to the Submission form
Accepting the monetization terms in the Submission form is a mandatory, blocking step for every new or updated submission. It does not, by itself, constitute a payment offer, a firm commitment, or a contract - as already stated in the Submission form's own notices. Any concrete monetization or payment discussion (payout schedule, method, and any contractual terms) is handled separately, by appointment, as described in section 13 of the Submission form.
9. Where to see your own figures
Once monetization terms are accepted for a submission and the corresponding content is live and marked Premium, a creator's own estimated revenue, billable views, per-title breakdown, and the currently applied percentage are available in Creator Access, under the "Monetization" module - scoped strictly to that creator's own content, never to anyone else's.
